SKYE Teen Health Summit Sparks Open Conversations on Sexual Health

Over the weekend, teenagers from several school districts across Fulton County gathered for an impactful Teen Health Summit designed to break barriers and encourage honest conversations about sexual health.

The summit provided a safe, judgment free space for students to engage in open dialogue, ask important questions, and take part in hands-on demonstrations focused on promoting healthier futures. In addition to interactive learning, cash incentives were offered to encourage participation and reinforce the value of gaining life-saving knowledge.

The event was spearheaded by Fulton County’s Skye Program, which has been dedicated to empowering young people with the tools and resources they need to make informed decisions. By creating an environment where “uncomfortable” conversations could take place without stigma or shame, the program emphasized the importance of preparing teens to protect themselves in the long run.

The summit drew students from across multiple districts, highlighting the county’s commitment to collaborative, community driven approaches to youth health education. Attendees left with not only practical information, but also a renewed sense of responsibility toward their own well being.

Mark your calendar: The next Teen Health Summit will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Jefferson Park. The event is free to attend, and food will be provided.
