Babies Can’t Wait is a statewide, interagency, early intervention program for families with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays or disabilities. This assistance is available through federal grants that were created under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and provides funding for coordinating developmental, educational, and community support for children under three and their families who need guidance.
BCW Provides:
- Service coordinators that assess the factors that influence school readiness and put together a comprehensive plan to address the skills that need to be worked on.
- Evaluations to determine eligibility and scope of services required are free of charge.
- Transition planning to enter the education system at age three is included.
