The flu is a contagious respiratory virus that spreads throughout the U.S. every year, usually between October and May. Anyone can get the flu and serious problems related to the virus can happen at any age. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated. Along with the vaccine, preventative actions such as social distancing, frequent handwashing, and covering coughs/sneezes are also recommended.
