SAFE Kids Demonstration Builds Safe Habits with Youth

Students at Hope Hill Elementary had an exciting opportunity to learn about traffic safety through a special event with SAFE Kids Fulton and the Georgia Department of Transportation. According to safety studies, children are more likely to be involved in crosswalk accidents when they are distracted or not paying attention, highlighting the importance of safety lessons like these! As part of the Safe Town Georgia initiative, kids practiced safety signals while walking, biking, and riding scooters using real traffic signal replicas. They also received valuable education on safety gear to help keep them protected. Fulton County Board of Health supports these demonstrations to encourage children to develop safe habits from a young age. Click here to see more!
