This holiday season, we want to spread love and cheer, not viruses and food poisoning. The Fulton County Board of Health is encouraging everyone to follow these health and safety tips as we begin to gather.
- Stay home if you’re sick- If you’re experiencing any cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and avoid large gatherings. A simple cough could turn into a virus that ruins the holidays for everyone.
- Get vaccinated- make sure you’re up to date with the latest flu shot and COVID-19 booster.
- Practice food safety- Follow all USDA recommendations while cooking to ensure food is done and safe to eat.
- Check the leftovers- Most leftovers are only good for four days after they’re prepared. Make sure all food is stored properly and refrigerated at appropriate temperatures.
