Fulton County Board of Health - Opioid Crisis

Many people will be in Atlanta for this year’s international soccer matches, and we want to make sure they’re prepared for scenarios that may arise involving opioid use and they know about the resources available to them. The Fulton County Board of Health’s Opioid Program is offering Naloxone (Narcan) completely free at multiple locations across the city.

The area surrounding Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which will be known as Atlanta Stadium during the World Cup, has experienced elevated rates of opioid use and overdose incidents. The Play It Safe Atlanta campaign is working to help reduce the risk and prevent overdoses by putting life-saving naloxone (Narcan) within everyone’s reach for free.

Individuals can pick up free naloxone (Narcan) at any of the participating community partner locations listed on the Play It Safe Campaign’s website: Play It Safe Atlanta | FREE Narcan

No appointment, no cost, and no questions asked.

The website also features information on the proper way to use Narcan, what to do in an emergency, and your rights to help someone under Georgia’s Medical Amnesty Law if you expect they are experiencing an overdose.
