FCBOH To Host Back-To-School Health and Resource Fair

As part of efforts to help families get ready for the 2024-25 school year, the Fulton County Board of Health will host its first Back To School Health & Resource Fair on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Adamsville Health Center at 3700 M.L.K. Jr Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA 30331 between 9 am and 3 pm.

This community event will feature a wide array of health services and educational resources. Participants can look forward to health screenings, immunizations for school-aged children, and access to vital resources related to mental health and nutrition. Local community organizations and health professionals will also be on hand to provide information and answer questions, ensuring that families have a successful and healthy start to the school year.

“We understand the importance of preparing our children for a successful school year, and we also recognize the critical role that health plays in that preparation,” said Meshell McCloud, District Nursing & Clinical Director of the Fulton County Board of Health. “The Back To School Health & Resource Fair is a one-stop shop for families to access the services they need, with the added benefit of learning about community resources available to them.”

The Fulton County Board of Health is committed to promoting health equity and improving the quality of life for all residents in the community. This event aligns with its mission by providing families with the health resources they need to thrive during the school year and beyond.
