The international soccer world is here! With the increase in people and festivities to do around the city, the threat of drinking and driving also goes up. According to the CDC, millions of people drive impaired in the United States each year, which results in thousands of people being killed yearly in the U.S. Those deaths include alcohol-impaired drivers themselves, their passengers, drivers or passengers of another vehicle, and pedestrians.
If you drink, do NOT drive:
- Designate a sober driver among your group
- Ride public transit like MARTA
- For more information on real-time train and bus tracking, service alerts, and other resources for riders, click here: MARTA Info
- Use rideshare or taxi services
- Plan ahead in the event you do want to drink at any festivities
- If you’re hosting any parties, remind any guests who may have been drinking to not drive and utilize other methods of safe transportation
